Schedule

Saturday March 7th, 2009 featured intensive three-hour workshops, taught by leading developers and authors, in a variety of programming environments. Some workshops were intended for more advanced users, but many were introductory in nature and were suited for all ages. Some workshops were specifically for teens and ‘tweens!

Sunday March 8th, 2009 offered a day-long sequence of 45-minute presentations about each programming environment. Attendees learned about who is using each programming environment, and why. Many of these lectures were given by the main people creating these toolkits!

Monday March 9th, 2009 began with two morning sessions of “Hello World” workshops that were ideal for beginners or people wanting a quick “leg up” into learning a new toolkit. These were followed, after lunch, by panel discussions featuring developers and educators.

Throughout the weekend are a variety of related events, including an exhibition of computational art, a festival of abstract film, an open-mic Dorkbot (show-and-tell / salon) for Art & Code attendees, and plenty of social meals.

Public school educators in Pennsylvania will receive Act 48 credit (Continuing Professional Education) for all conference activities.
